Ed Henry was once a popular co-anchor and reporter on Fox News. Things appear to have taken a drastic turn for the worse.

Henry initially joined CNN in 2004 after working as a reporter for several newspapers through the 90s, including the New York Daily News and the Washington Times. His stint at CNN lasted until 2011 when he joined Fox News.

At Fox News, Henry quickly became one of the network’s most prominent journalists. He served as the network’s chief White House correspondent as well as co-anchor of America’s Newsroom.

However, it didn’t last long. In July 2020, Henry was fired after an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.

Despite denying the allegations, a sexual harassment lawsuit was filed. Henry is reportedly still a target of this pending 2020 federal case.

While the sexual harassment case is pending, Henry is keeping his renowned attorney David Tarras busy by getting into more trouble. This time, the issue occurred in West Palm Beach, FL.

According to the sheriff’s deputy, Henry was “driving his Cadillac Escalade through West Palm Beach on June 20 with a flat tire and metal rim loudly grinding against the road.”

Henry appeared to be unaware of the damaged tire as he drove and turned at a normal rate of speed.

The former Fox News anchor was stopped by police and arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

“In doing this the front driver’s (side) tire came off the rim and rolled into the eastbound lanes almost striking an oncoming vehicle,” the report stated. “That vehicle had to apply (its) brakes and swerve to avoid being hit by the tire.”

51-year-old Henry agreed to a field sobriety test, which he appears to have failed. He also voluntarily submitted to an alcohol breath test.

“While Henry was talking, I was able to smell the odor of unknown alcohol coming from his breath,” the deputy stated on the report. “Henry had glassy and bloodshot eyes…His gait was unsteady. His speech was slightly slurred.”

The deputy described Henry as “cooperative and polite,” but he reportedly struggled during several parts of the field sobriety test. This included the “one leg stand,” the “walk and turn” and the “finger to nose” where “Henry used the pad of his finger instead of the tip on all tasks.”

“He swayed during the tasked and tilted his head forward,” the deputy wrote in his report. Henry admitted to drinking two bourbons prior to the traffic stop.

Henry’s attorney David Tarras is confident his client will beat the charges. After submitted to the alcohol breath test, it measured just below the legal limit of .08.

After his arrest, Henry remained calm and quiet as he refused to answer questions. He invoked his right to counsel in order to settle the matter.

“Mr. Henry cooperated with law enforcement during their investigation,” Tarras noted in a statement emailed to the outlet. “He respectfully provided a sample of his breath that was below a .08, and thus below the legal limit in Florida. “

“Mr. Henry and his legal team continue to cooperate with the State Attorney’s Office for Palm Beach County and are confident in a just result,” the statement noted further.

After Fox News, Henry has worked at various media outlets, including Newsmax and Real America’s Voice.
