Joe Biden Shamefully Starts Off 9/11 Address With A Joke

Joe Biden cracks jokes about being an all-American football player on the anniversary of 9/11 | via Twitter

Joe Biden refused to visit the 9/11 Memorial site this year. This is the first time in US history that the sitting president didn’t bother to visit the location.

Making matters worse, Biden decided to begin his remarks on 9/11 with a lame attempt at a joke.

At Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, Biden was joined by Alaskan Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy. They both are from Scranton, Pennsylvania. (Poll: Who Should Win the Presidency In 2024? VOTE)

“Governor Dunleavy, it’s good to see you. The governor and I have something in common: We’re both from Scranton, Pennsylvania,” Biden began.

“I wish I had him playing on my high school ball club when I was playing,” he continued. “I could’ve been an All-American having you in front of me,” Biden joked.

Biden’s remarks didn’t sit well with many Americans who expressed their outrage on social media.

Nearly 3,000 Americans were killed on September 11, 2001 following the worst terrorist attack in US history.

“Clueless Joe Biden makes jokes during 9/11 remarks,” one person said.

Another person said, I can’t believe Biden would make a lame Scranton joke before a 9/11 speech. Or maybe I can.”

This isn’t the first time that Biden has made inappropriate jokes.

While touring Maui and viewing the devastation cause by the deadliest wildfires in US history, Biden managed to joke that he almost lost his wife, his Corvette, and his cat in a kitchen fire.
