Struggling Disney Hikes Theme Park Tickets: Will You Go?

Walt Disney Co. has increased ticket prices by up to 10% for Disneyland resort in California and Walt Disney World in Florida, effective immediately.

The price per ticket for busy days such as holidays has gone up by 8.4%, with the yearly pass prices at Walt Disney World in Orlando rising by up to 10%, after announcing a $60 billion spending plan for the parks.

Additionally, Disney+ and Hulu subscribers will see a 27% and 20% increase in their monthly bills.

Iger has also announced plans to cut $5.5 billion in costs, which includes cutting staff of approximately 7,000 employees.

Disney’s market capitalization has fallen by $51.71 billion due to economic difficulties and falling profits, as well as boycotts from conservative and Christian groups over the company’s political activism.
