US Officials Beg Israelis to Delay Ground Invasion

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken addressed the United Nations Security Council, stating that at least 33 Americans have been killed in the violence following the terror attack on Israel.

However, the U.S. is reportedly urging a delay on an invasion to allow time to negotiate for the release of hostages taken by Hamas militants.

“We agree the top priority has to be going after Hamas. There’s no daylight here,” said John Kirby, the National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications. (Trending: Joe Biden Does the Unthinkable For Hamas)

“We also think it’s important for humanitarian assistance to flow and for our hostages to get home with their families, and we’re working on all three of those things,” he added.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 innocent civilians, including 33 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 13 Americans who remain missing.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”

Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Palestinian Hamas terrorist notoriously used their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee. (Trending: Biden Official Caught Working For Terrorists)

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.

Blinken emphasized Israel’s right to defend itself from Hamas’ terrorist attack and called for international recognition of this right.

Blinken criticized the lack of outrage and condemnation for the atrocities committed by Hamas.

“Where is the outrage?” Blinken demanded after recounting the atrocities committed by Hamas.

“Where is the revulsion? Where is the rejection? Where is the explicit condemnation of these horrors?”

“We must affirm the right of any nation to defend itself and to prevent such horror from repeating itself. No member of this council, no nation in this entire body could or would tolerate the slaughter of its people.”

“Palestinian civilians must be protected. That means Hamas must cease using them as human shields,” Blinken said. “It’s hard to think of a greater act of cynicism.”

He acknowledged the concerns regarding Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire and called on Hamas to stop using them as human shields.

Blinken also urged Israel to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza and ensure the safety of civilians.
