Calls Grow to Deport Pro-Hamas Foreign Nationals From US

via CBS Mornings

Republican Senator Tom Cotton is calling for the deportation of foreign nationals who have expressed support for Hamas and its attacks on Israel.

He argues that federal law deems individuals who endorse or support terrorist activity as inadmissible and subject to deportation.

Cotton specifically mentions foreign students who have signed or shared an anti-Semitic letter as potential candidates for deportation. (Poll: Should Gaza Refugees Come to America? VOTE)

“I write to urge you to immediately deport any foreign national—including and especially any alien on a student visa—that has expressed support for Hamas and its murderous attacks on Israel,” Cotton wrote in a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

“Federal law is clear that any alien who ‘endorses or espouses terrorist activity or persuades others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization’ is inadmissible and must be deported,” the senator wrote.

Dozens of Harvard student groups released statements in support of Hamas terrorists and against Israel.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 innocent civilians, including 33 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 13 Americans who remain missing.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”

Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Palestinian Hamas terrorist notoriously used their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
