Democrats Enraged Over Mike Johnson

via NowThis News on Youtube

Just after President Joe Biden and first Lady Jill Biden extended a “congratulations” to newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), the Biden campaign slammed him in a social media post.

A number of other Democrat lawmakers have expressed their distaste for Johnson online as well.

Johnson was unanimously elected by GOP House members to take on leadership of the House of Representatives. (Trending: Meet Mike Johnson, Your New House Speaker)

“MAGA Mike Johnson’s ascension to the speakership cements the extreme MAGA takeover of the House Republican Conference,” said Ammar Moussa, a Biden campaign spokesperson.

“Insurrectionist Mike Johnson is now second in line to the presidency. The American people deserve better,” Moussa added.

Rep Ilhan Omar (D-MN) called Johnson a “MAGA Extremist,” and claimed that “with this choice, Republicans have embraced the extreme MAGA playbook.”

“Johnson is a MAGA extremist who helped fuel the January 6 insurrection, believes women and the LGBTQ community don’t deserve rights, and is another puppet to Donald Trump,” Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) wrote. (Trending: Dirty Trick Inside Biden’s $100 Billion Bill)
