Israeli Tanks Follow Bulldozer Into Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an extensive armored military operation in northern Gaza, targeting terrorist cells, infrastructure, and anti-tank missile launch posts.

The operation involved tanks, infantry, and bulldozers breaking through Israel’s border fence with Gaza.

This comes in response to the unprecedented terror attacks by Hamas three weeks ago, which resulted in the murder of over 1,400 people, injuries to more than 5,400, and the kidnapping of over 220 hostages. (Trending: Meet Mike Johnson, Your New House Speaker)

“In preparation for the next stages of combat, the IDF operated in northern Gaza,” the IDF said in a statement.

“IDF tanks & infantry struck numerous terrorist cells, infrastructure and anti-tank missile launch posts,” the statement continued. “The soldiers have since exited the area and returned to Israeli territory.”

Hamas utilized underground terror tunnels and hardwired landlines to plan and execute the attack.

The tunnels initially served for smuggling goods but later evolved into attack tunnels. (Trending: Dirty Trick Inside Biden’s $100 Billion Bill)

“What is interesting about Hamas is that the rate of growth of the tunnels, not only in size but also in purpose, complemented the development of the organization’s operational concept,” said Prof. Joel Roskin, a geomorphologist and geologist at Bar-Ilan University’s geography and environment department.

“It began with the smuggling of goods, progressed to the smuggling of weapons, and later evolved into attack tunnels.”

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 innocent civilians, including 33 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 13 Americans who remain missing.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”

Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists notoriously use their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
