Dominican President Luis Abinader invited U.S. President Joe Biden to visit the Dominican Republic during their bilateral meeting, and took a jab at the President for his time spent on vacation.
Abinader highlighted the economic recovery of the Dominican, which depends heavily on U.S. trade and tourism.
“We will continue to work hard to build an even brighter future for all our people,” Abinader said.

“Mr. President, we look forward to welcoming you soon to the Dominican Republic at the next — at the next Summit of the Americas in 2025, where we will continue to develop the bonds of prosperity, security, and democracy that bind us together.
“And that summit will be in Punta Cana, so you have time to be on the beach.”
He jokingly mentioned that the next Summit of the Americas in 2025 will be held in Punta Cana, giving Biden time to enjoy the beach.
